Divisional Secretariat - Colombo

The one day service of issuing Birth / Marriage Certificates, which commenced in 1960 in all the districts of the country, was launched at the Divisional Secretariat, Colombo by the State Minister Mr. J.C.Alawathuwala of the Home Affairs Ministry.

The Talent Show was held on 29th March 2019 under the supervision of the Divisional Secretary of the Colombo Divisional Secretariat. District Secretary and several guests attended the event. Seylan Bank sponsored the event. Assistant Divisional Secretary , The Administrative grama niladhari and all the other sectors have present their talents.

The Thaipongal festival was commenced in a ceremonial office premises on the initiative of the Tamil officers of the Divisional Secretariat of Colombo for the Thaipongal Day.For this, the Divisional Secretary and all staff members were also present.

The Dhamma discourse of Duruthu Poya was held on January 22, 2019 At the office auditorium with the knowledge of the Divisional Secretary. The event was sponsored by the Planning Division.The officers and members of the social service societies were also present at the Dhamma discourse. The pujya induragare Dhammaratana Thero participated in the Dhamma sermon.

Divisional meeting, Anti Drugs Committee and Civil Defense Committee meeting. 9.30 am at the Auditorium of the Colombo Divisional Secretariat. The Divisional Secretary of Colombo Divisional Secretariat, Field Officers, Development Officers, Grama Niladharis and Samurdhi Development Officers were present at this meeting.
