On August 29, 2025, the University of Colombo held a research seminar titled "Technological Use Among Seniors" at the university auditorium. The seminar focused on the conditions faced by senior citizens in the Colombo District and their utilization as a basis for developing national policies. Distinguished Professor Indralal de Silva, Distinguished Professor Tudor Silva, Director Chathura Mihidum from the Senior Citizens' Secretariat, and numerous faculty members from the University of Colombo and the University of Peradeniya participated in this event.
